With the addition of Anne L. Sylvester, PTE to its team of professionals, Shea Carr Jewell (SCJ) has again expanded its footprint. Sylvester will establish a new Vancouver, WA office.

Shea Carr Jewell (SCJ) is a consulting and professional services firm with an emphasis on engineering and planning. In the last two years they have acquired a community planning and environmental services firm, an engineering specialties group and a public relations firm to bolster their competitive edge.

“We recognize that the southwest Washington and Oregon markets are distinct from the other areas we serve, and we want to establish a local office to better serve our clients in this region. We believe Anne’s wealth of experience and professional relationships will enable us to provide a high level of engineering and planning on transportation projects over the coming years,” said SCJ Principal Eric Johnston, PE.

Sylvester is a transportation planner/engineer with over 35 years of experience in traffic engineering, urban/regional transportation planning and area-wide/corridor improvement studies.

Her expertise also covers multi-modal planning and engineering; socioeconomic, demographic and financial analyses; and development of non-motorized improvement plans. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and is a registered traffic engineer in Oregon.

SCJ was founded in 2006. Since that time the firm has grown from three employees to more than 35. In addition to their Vancouver office, they serve clients from offices in Olympia and Wenatchee, WA; Westminster, CO; and Boise, ID.
