The Thurston Economic Development Council presented SCJ Alliance with the “Large Business of the Year” award on May 30, 2019 at the EDC’s annual Business Awards Gala.

“Initially it was an honor just to be among the diverse field of 97 nominees in 5 categories. To receive the Large Business Award is humbling,” shared SCJ President/CEO Jean Carr. “I am so proud of our team which has been the key to our success.”

Since our founding in 2006, SCJ has grown from 3 people in 1 office, to 110 employees in 8 offices.

At the awards event, SCJ was lauded for our significant impact on the Thurston County economy, the multiplying effect of our work and wages, a demonstrated history of supporting the local community, and for having “a great workplace atmosphere of respect, fun, creativity, and collaboration.”

We are grateful to the EDC staff and volunteers for all they do for the Thurston County community and the greater region. Thank you for this tremendous honor.
