In the presentation, the company looked at local areas such as the St. Pete Pier, the St. Pete airport, Tampa Convention Center, Clearwater Beach and other destinations to connect to within a 6- to 12-mile radius. Economically, the systems are typically subsidized by tourists who pay a premium to ride and cost a fraction of heavy or light rail systems.
