SCJ prepared the rural Town Center Corridor Plan for SR 165 through the heart of Wilkeson.

After completing the corridor plan, SCJ supported the town in applying for multiple grants and secured nearly $900,000 in funding. Federal STP and Pedestrian/Bicycle Program funds provide the majority of the funding, and Transportation Improvement Board (SCAP) funds are providing local match.

SCJ was selected to lead the design of the initial corridor improvements. The project constructed about 1,000 feet of mixed-use trail and sidewalk along the west side of SR 165. A historic railroad trestle over Wilkeson Creek was incorporated into the mixed-use trail.
