SCJ is leading Lake Forest Park’s comprehensive plan update, including integrated updates to the six-year Capital Improvement Plan and 20-year capital facilities and utilities planning. Our multidisciplinary team is working closely together to deliver a product consistent with new Growth Management Act Requirements, Puget Sound Regional Council’s Multicounty Planning Policies, and King County’s Countywide Planning Policies. Special considerations for capital facilities planning from regional policy requirements include addressing historical disparities in planning and investment and prioritizing projects that provide a more excellent range of services and facilities in underserved communities. The team also incorporates climate policies in advance of State climate planning requirements. It includes recommendations related to system resilience, redundancy, and continuity of operations for future capital facilities and utility projects.
