The intersection of 93rd Avenue and Lathrop underwent a significant upgrade to address increased traffic from the newly constructed Flying J truck stop. The project included replacing the two-way stop-controlled intersection with a roundabout designed to handle heavy freight traffic. Additional improvements involved roadway widening, new bike lanes, sidewalks, stormwater management, and water main extensions. Sewer system upgrades were essential, incorporating 972 feet of 8” gravity sewer main installation and enhancing the local sewer lift station to support future area development. Underground utilities were also modernized to meet long-term needs.
