INVOLVEMENT
2010-2011

The federally funded BIA t3ba’das Pelican Road project provides an alternate access to the future Skokomish Housing project. The project includes 3,200 lineal feet of new paved roadway and also provides access directly to the MBR Plant and Reclaimed Water Plant. Also included in the design  were residential grading pads for the future residential lots, an MBR plant, and water reuse facilities. Approximately 300,000 cubic yards of material was excavated and placed within the tribal lands. A future water reuse distribution system was also designed and constructed.

This project required an expedited design; construction was completed in 2011. SCJ also assisted the Tribe with construction services.

STAFF STORY

“This project was so exciting because of the significant amount of grading and the accelerated design pace.  I never saw a Contractor so happy playing in the dirt with their big equipment.”
