INVOLVEMENT
2014

The Jamestown S’Klallam tribe on the Olympic Peninsula had many potential development opportunities on the horizon, including casino expansion, tribal offices, retail facilities, and resort and residential development. SCJ was brought on board to create a plan for documenting the transportation improvement needs associated with both short- and long-term development. Analysis focused along US 101, particularly in the rural areas east of Town of Sequim, and included operational performance evaluation, safety analysis, and development of highway and access improvement recommendations.

STAFF STORY

“I was pleased to help support the tribe’s long-terms plans for economic development and transportation improvements along the scenic US 101 corridor.”
