The “Shea Carr & Cancer-free Jewells” team couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day to walk in this year’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fund raiser. It was the third year of participation—each year having its own diverse weather. Year 1 featured frozen ground, Year 2 had its torrential downpours, but this Year 3 was one of those sunny and crisp fall mornings, perfect for getting out and getting some exercise, but even more fun when you’re surrounded by thousands of energetic, smiling faces. Congratulations to the SCJ team of walkers and non-walkers, who raised over $1,100 towards the event’s total $115,000.
